My son,
I hope one day you will look back at the photos I have taken of you growing up. I hope you will remember the singing, dancing, reading, laughing, weird traditions, outdoor exploring and that most of all, you were loved. I hope that these traditions continue in your own home one day. And when you have your own children, drop the 'things to do' list and go play, and I mean really play with your kids. This doesn't mean the TV is on, cooking dinner, while they tinker with their toys alone in the living room. Alone time is good, but what is important is that your children have very special time with just you and them, doing what they want to do. It's so hard some days when I think about a million things that I need to get done. Today, I took you outside, even though it was freezing. We layered up in jackets, gloves, and snow suits until we couldn't put our arms down at our sides. We went outside in the snow and we danced, sang Christmas songs (even though it's March), ate the snow like ice cream and laughed at each other when we fell down. It was a beautiful day. I love you so, so much!
